Well, I'm now officially semi-pro

I just received notification that I have been accepted into the Fernie Arts Co-op, a juried entrance society. This is a group store front in the city of Fernie, BC, which is a resort town near here. I submitted two 16x24 inch photo on canvas gallery wraps, two sets of note cards, a set of postcards, and two matted 12x8 inch prints for jurying.

Yahoo! I'm in. My space will be up by the end of the month, just in time for the summer tourist season. Maybe I can get some of those new goodies from Mr. Pentax.

I thought you were fully pro. With your knowledge and wisdom you get this title in my book!

Congrats! And here I was thinking this was another thread about being asked to stop taking photos at your daughter's dance recital because your camera is too big to not be pro

Yes, it is big. I have received any number of statements of awe while carting around K10 + D-BG2 + 16-50. All that glass seems to impress the great unwashed

Well, they did not know it was a Pentax. Black electrical tape can be used to hide the logo, you know.

You wish! Nikon D3X, maybe, but Canon ??? I have to wade through too many layers of menus on Windows. I try to see as few menus as possible in the rest of my life. Except in nice restaurants, of course.

No, but part of the deal is that I shop sit for at least four 4 hour shifts in the store front each month. Anything that sells, except mine, earns me a commission. If it is mine, all the cash is mine as well.

From your mouth to God's ear. (Watched Fiddler on the Roof last night. Sorry.)

Congratulations Canada Rockies! It's nice to be recognized by your peers. I don't know if you ever anticipated being recognized as a "Pro" but from what I've seen of your work, you are definitely an artist. Again Congratulations.
