Need help with SEARCH

I am trying to run a search, but I keep getting the message that my request is under 3 words. But it's not. I keep adding more words to the search but still get that message.

I need help finding a thread/post about the onboard flash on K100D not working.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Read again...

I'll bet is says your word is under 3 letters... as:

"the search term you specified (__) is under the minimum word length (3) ..."

This message boards uses a very widely used search engine. Unfortunately with that software, you can not search for "FA" for example, which yes, really stinks when the two letter words/acronyms are so prevalent in this field. Maybe it can be configured to used 2 letter search terms, but I've never seen one configured so on all the message boards I frequent.

Yes- unfortunately, no words consisting of 3 letters or less can be in your search window. The only place where you can search for terms such as 'FA*' and 'DA' is the Lens Review Database.

In the future, I may attempt to rebuild the search tables so that 3-letter searching is allowed.

Thanx for the confirmation Adam. ...I guess you'll just need to make sure it excludes indexing of the words 'as' and 'it' and thousands of others I imagine.

Unable to search for posts or topics about a lens is kinda troublesome, I was trying to search for DA 14mm and it just keep saying I don't do it...

On another board I frequent, one can enter a wildcard ( * ) and it will work, i.e. DA*, FA*, XL*, etc.

I can't do anything about the forum search right now, but what you can do is Google, for example, the following string to find "FA" on the forum: "FA site: pentaxforums.com". That would give you dozens, if not hundreds of results.
