Question Non-Pentax Discussion/Photo Posting?

Hello all, I do currently own a Pentax K100D which I have been using and plan to use in the future, but I also have hundreds of film negatives from a non-Pentax SLR which I used in 1990 (yes long long time ago!) of my trip to Africa, tracking mountain gorillas and other wildlife photography. Ive just begun to digitize them with my new scanner into my computer. Is it unacceptable to post and/or discuss images taken of these scanned images from a non-Pentax camera I used in the past? If so, I wont of course.

My personal opinion, for what its worth...

Nothing wrong with posting in the general forum. It is afterall a photography forum albeit specific to the discussion of Pentax equipment. If we have questions we come here because the other members/visitors share the same equipment and will be able to reply more acurately.

Once again, my personal opinion is... if you start pushing other manufactures' equipment then you will be disrespecting the others here.

Adam and his team have so far done a great job and might disagree with my views so I'll respect that.

JCSullivan said it all...

I'm fine with your posting photos taken with any camera in the "Post your photos" forum, but, naturally, I prefer Pentax photos, because they allow users to effectively discuss technique.

You're free to post about other cameras in the General Talk, too, but please keep the majority of your threads related to Pentax.

Thanks!
