Lens Review Issue

I'm trying to post a review for the Takumar-A 28/2.8 but I don't see the comments box and I get an error message saying that I didn't fill in all the fields.

Hi Pete,

This issue has been brought up to me by 3 other users via e-mail, but only now have I realized that it also affects the posting of reviews and not only editing.

I've also found out that a conflict between the vBulletin 3.6.8 WYSIWYG editor and the javascript used within the Lens Review Database is preventing the editor from showing up. I have, therefore, temporarily reverted to a standard editor for posting reviews. This temporary editor is nothing more than a text box, but at least users will once again be able to post reviews. Most BBCode formatting options should still be usable in that editor.

I will work on restoring the advanced editor over the next few days, and I hope to have it back online ASAP.

Thanks for bringing this up!

Well, the cause turned out to be much simpler than I had originally thought. For some reason, the editor was not showing up in the lens review database because of the modifications I had done to it with respect to smilie locations and posting rules a few weeks ago (see here). I have now reworked these modification in the backend, and the advanced editor has been restored. Phew...
