Flamewar/News not involving Pentax/Completely Unbased Speculation/Not News Forum

I would like to suggest the creation of a forum for flamewars, stuff thats not at all news, news not at all involving pentax, or relating at all to pentax, speculation that has no base in reality/no reliable source, stuff thats not news, and random unprovable accusations, as these seem to have taken over the "Pentax News and Rumors" forum. (See wendyb, the whole B&H thread, the two million "I think pentax will release a 17 megapixel large format x-ray camera as the k30d" threads etc.) Anything that is not News, or a Reliableish Rumor, would be moved to this forum by a mod.

Also, if there was some sort of "Post Your Photos" forum for Ben to post his photos in that would be cool. (ben is a great photographer, love his pictures, they're some of the most amazing stuff I've seen on here, but I don't really think they're news)

We can make it easier and just give a "whining and complaining" forum to the very few who need to.

The "Official Pentax News" subforum is intended to be the news forum, while the main section is designated for rumors. Seems that some react to rumors as if they were real, however

I guess my complaint isn't really about the rumors, I probably should have left that out as theres no way of knowing which are true or not until stuff is announced, it was mainly about the large percentage of flamewars going on in there recently. This is a great forum you run here, and I'd hate to see it ruined by a bunch of silly arguments getting in the way of what the forum is actually about.

I'm done, this was my one thread to complain, I'm not complaining anywhere else, and I wont be replying to anything else in this thread either. I was really pissed off when I posted it because I had just opened like 20 threads, all of which were flamewars, and all of which had gotten at least 5 posts since I last checked the forum, while there were people with valid questions/interesting ideas not getting a tenth of the attention. In retrospect, my post is part of the problem, I shouldn't have made it, and I apologize.

I know what you mean Nixcamic. I used to question why informing about exibitions, posting pictures, reporting stolen photos etc... is in "Pentax news and rumors" section. I got flamed each time and received a hostile PM from one of the authors as well. Now I'm done with it and I really don't care if discussing WendyB, new shootings... is in the "Pentax news and rumors". It became the "Hear me out" section. Go to other sctions and you'll find that this forum is till a good place.

From the title of the thread I thought you were asking for a boxing ring-type thing where sparring members can do their thing without junking up the other forums (fora?).
