Site favicon strangeness

I use always the latest Firefox on my MacBook, currently v. 3.5.4. For quite some time I've noticed a strange browser behaviour. I have a bookmark folder of about ten websites that I frequently visit. All but one of these have their own favicons (if somebody doesn't know, it's the small icon that can be seen to the left of the website address on the address bar and in the bookmark list). Pentaxforums bookmark usually shows the normal favicon, but quite frequently it shows the favicon from another website recently (or currently) visited. The problem goes away when I visit PF again. I haven't seen this behaviour with other websites that I frequently visit.

Any idea what's going on? Is it a Firefox bug? Or does PF use a generic favicon name that confuses the browser (not even sure if this is possible)?

I'll post examples when I next catch it happening.

Every browser I've used has favicon bugs in some respect or another. We do use the generic favicon name, although I'm pretty sure that's standard for most sites.

OK, I just don't think I've noticed it with other sites. Then again, this is one of my most frequently visited ones. Anyhow, here are the promised captures:

If that's in your bookmarks, then it definitely seems like a browser bug. Wherever firefox caches the icon files, they must be overwriting each other randomly.
