[SOLD] FS: (EU) Sigma 30/1.4 EX DC KAF mount - reversed auction

September 10, Sold and Shipped

I'm selling my Sigma 30/1.4 EX DC Pentax KAF mount

The Sigma 30/1.4 is one lens of it's own. If you need a top performer for low light shooting this is the lens you need. The lens I have for sale is the very same as the one tested by Klaus at Photozone, and it performed pretty well with an all time high score for any lens tested on the K10D (beating the FA31 and the FA35...). It has good contrast wide open (way better than FA50/1.4, better than FA35/2 and as good or better than FA31, still while being faster).

This lens has visited Sigma Sweden after I purchased it (new). They adjusted the AF and now it is spot on. They also added a few very faint and hard to see marks on the front element which could scare anyone not knowing about these things. It's just fair to mention it. In every other aspect this lens is as new.

More info on this particular lens at Sigma AF 30mm f/1.4 EX DC (Pentax K) - Photozone Review / Test Report - good for you as you know you don't get a dog. The all time high resolution result for any lens tested on a K10D...

More info also at DPR where a never finished thread started by me lives: Sigma 30/1.4 EX DC - good?: Pentax SLR Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review

Price new in EU is EUR 350-430 (different sources) but the Pentax version is a bit hard to get by without waiting.

BIN price: EUR 270

Warranty: This is a private sell and there is no warranty. All the original papers will be included. I don't know what that means for you. In the as unlikely as unfortunate situation making you ask for a warranty repair I'll try to help you out.
Shipping: Insured shipping inside EU is EUR 30
Total price: EUR 300 (includes PayPal and shipping)
Payment: Verified PayPal, cash on pick-up (Göteborg, Sweden)
Questions: PM me and I'll reply and also edit this post

Interested? First reply here and then send me a PM.

Q: Hi Jonas,
interested in the Sigma f1.4 lens. Please let me know if you could email me some close ups of the lens. You can email them to x@y.zom
A: Hi x,
No, I'm not interested in mailing pictures in different directions. I took a few quickies and uploaded them here for you, or anyone interested:

I'm sorry for the dust. I'm not much of a product photographer I'm afraid. I should have wiped it off before clicking away. Oh well. As you can see the lens is in good shape.

And here is a sample picture:

The second reduction, from EUR 290 to EUR 280.

Don't expect another price reduction until Sunday or Monday.

Have a nice weekend everybody!

I'm not in the market for such a valuable lens, however, I had to comment on that picture. It's very artistic and interesting. Good luck with your auction.

Thank you matiki - I take it you at least not dislike it then. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I find it confusing. I don't often take pictures of flowers. (There are so many out there doing it brilliantly and for me it's easier to enjoy their pictures than do it myself. That may say something about me and also at the same time make me wonder why I take pictures at all... )

regards,

Ah, wth, to celebrate the sell of the K10D I just throw in another price drop, EUR 10 this time. How low will it go?

Info and links added.

To celebrate the sell of the FA35/2 I lowered the price a further tiny step.

August 12, last call, last price reduction

A symbolic reduction of EUR 5, just done to bump the stuff.

This is the lowest the lens can go for this time. If there isn't anyone here interested in it I'll just keep it for a while and let it go somewhere else later.

Maybe you should tell me why I should go quite a bit lower. How much is the lens where you live?

Here you can get an adjusted and nice copy, and even the exact lens that made the all time high resolution result at Photozone.

Of course, if there is a reason to go lower the price should drop a bit. Let me know why!

Hi, willing to give you Euro 200.00 for it (incl postage to UK). Otherwise will have a friend get me one from Japan next week (38000Y). Can you tell me if yours is still under warranty and if IBAN payment could be acceptable?!

Cheers, and sorry if this seems low, but I am fortunate enough to have friends who go to Japan frequently.

It seems low. I'm afraid you'll have to ask your friend to bring one for you.
Wow, I wish I had some friends like yours...

Cheers,
