[SOLD] FS: Pentax D FA 100 f2.8 macro

I bought this lens new in December 2006 from B&H. I have used it only a few times to photograph some indoor basketball games. The condition of the lens is like new, with the exception of some scuffs on the outside of the lens cap. The glass is clean and clear. Includes front and rear caps, lens hood, paper work, and box. I did cut the UPC symbol from the box for a rebate. I am asking $375.00 US plus shipping and any duties/import fees if shipping outside CONUS. I have photos of the lens if interested. I am selling it now that I know my new DA*50-135 is an able performer. Paypal or cashiers check/money order. New Price: $350.00 US

Hullo Erl!
The lens will interest me, if we can review the pricing. However, what interests me more is your equating this 100 macro with the 50-135 lens. How so? How does the latter replace the former? (I am not challenging your thinking; merely genuinely curious to know how so.)
Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I bought the DFA 100mm to provide me a fast AF telephoto for indoor basketball photos in poorly lit gyms. At the time this was the only Pentax option in my price range. I knew the DA* were coming but needed the lens for the basketball season. I am not a macro photographer so do not use that feature. For my uses the DA* fits better. The DFA 100 sharper at f2.8 but not enough IMHO to keep both. The DA* is more versatile for my needs. In addition, I need the money to help fuel LBA at the wide angle. Send me a PM with your offer, if interested, and I will consider it. I posted some photos in the Lens forum comparing the DFA with the DA* at f2.8 if you are interested.

New Price: $350.00 US paypal or money order. This will be the last price revision; save $75.00 over a new one and the hastle of completing the rebate paperwork. I will wait a few days then try to sell her on Ebay. Thanks for looking.
