I am selling a Pentax FA* 300/2,8, in like new condition, just the hood shows some minor signs of use. Lenses perfectly clean.

It comes with the leather hood and rear cap. No box, no other accessories.

Normally the FA* 300/2.8 and the FA* 600/4 were made to order only... Occasionally you'll find new ones in the Asian markets, or you can order directly through select stores in Japan.

They've been removed (for now at least) from most North American/European retail channels (ordering them that is...) for at least several months now.

I really wish I could afford this lens though. I managed to get an FA* 400mm f/5.6 a few months ago for a great price, and I love it even though it's considered one of the weakest of the FA* lenses.

Indeed, no public commenting on the price is allowed. I can tell you for a fact that the seller's price is in no way extreme, and also that these lenses are out of production, rare, and defintely very sharp!
