I was curious about the Revolution Money Exchange and searched a little bit, found some info dating back to Sep 07 when they were starting, but I couldn't figure out exactly how it works and what's different from Paypal or from Credit card. They're definitely legit, have strong figures behind them (AOL co-founder, Citi Group etc).

No fees to send money, to receive money, to add money to RME from bank.... but to cash out you have to ask for a check and there's a $2.50 fee per check. I couldn't find out any monthly/daily/monthly limits to receive and/or withdraw. Other than that, they do have overdraft fees. Bad part You have to add money from bank and keep it in RME account and then you use it... if you have $500 in RME and spend 501, you pay $35 in "overdraft".

My first impression to such a long URL (revolutionmoneyexchange.com) would be that it's a fraud

I could be wrong, but it would seem to me that people are joining the forum for the sole purpose of unloading equipment. As to the poster's method of payment through revolutionmoneyexchange.com I would concur.

I see nothing wrong with people joining the forum to sell equipment if they are jumping ship to another brand (or even if they are not!). It is actually good because it gives forum members a chance at this equipment before it heads off to ebay. Also, the seller accepts paypal if RME sounds too fishy to you!

https://www.revolutionmoneyexchange.com/ is the correct website; I have the $25 sign up credit transfered to my checking account already. Revolution Money pays you $25 just to sign up; no catch, you don't even have to use the service. It doesn't matter if you buy anything for me, just sign up for the free $25. Setup is similar to Paypal; enter your checking account information and, wait for Revolution Money to deposit money.

Revolution Money Exchange thread at slickdeals

I still have a K10D and AF-540 FGZ that I use and will keep. I have been selling my photography and computer gear online because I will be leaving and will be in the Army for awhile. Also, I only have a personal account at Paypal. The charge to accept credit/debit is 4.9% plus $0.30; which makes the total $315. You can sign up for Revolution Money for the $35 and use Paypal to pay for the rest.

Just a reminder, I think there's a 30 day period to use the bonus $25.
