I dont know i think that the love affair with this lens may have passed i tried selling mine as well and finally decided to keep it as no one was willing to pay the same price for mine. No loss however it really is a good lens

I remember a few months ago, one would be sold within a few hours. So I guess you're right. I might end up keeping in the end. It's not a bad lens afterall.

thats possible as always but still think alot of people are waiting for the new 17-70 from pentax and the 17-70 from sigma seems to now be the flavor of the month lens in the range

Jusr because someone is selling something dont always expect them to take a loss on the item either that they are not willing to take

I would have bought one of these ... as it was a lens I was really after.
But I came across a deal i couldn't refuse on a similar Sigma lens.

If I didn't already have one, I would snap it up. It's a great lens with all around utility and great for portraits too. It seldom comes off my camera.

Hmmm..this is a stellar lens. I paid full retail locally, so with tax I paid over $425.00 for my copy. I don't regret it a bit. I wanted it quick for an event that I was shooting so I bought locally which always costs more where I live. I love this lens and still think it is worth every penny I paid. I am surprised that this wasn't snapped up in a hurry.
