[SOLD] Pentax LX Body and FA-1 Finder New in Box

Well, for those of you that may have been following my original thread in the film forum, I have decided that I really want a FA31 a lot more than I want this LX setup. Here are the details:

New old stock, brand new in the boxes, Pentax LX body and FA-1 Eye-Level Finder. As you can see in the photos of the boxes, they are not perfect but that is the only flaw in this once in a lifetime LX package.

LX Body - The camera body still has the protective stickers on the bottom plate and bottom of the lens mount. The box comes complete with the following items included:

LX Body (in plastic bag with original styrofoam packing)
Lens mount body cap
Finder body cap
Protective film platten plastic sheet (seen in the 3rd photo)
Manual
Strap with attachments for the lugs (sealed in plastic bag)
Felt protective bag (sealed in plastic bag)
Diopter and battery door tool (like a small plastic screwdriver)
The battery compartment is spotless and does include the 2 batteries required for the electronic meter to function. This camera is immaculate.

FA-1 Eye-Level Viewfinder - In original box and packaging, wrapped in plastic bag with the instruction sheet included.

What else can I say except that this set is new, no flaws, never had a roll of film thru it. I have attached the finder, mounted a lens very carefully to make sure the the meter functions. I also have fired the shutter at low and high shutter speeds to make sure that everything functions correctly. The mirror bump is not at all sticky or tacky in any way.

This is the new version body and the serial number is 5355474.

I am asking $1,000 US plus PayPal fees but would prefer to deal via money order or cashiers check. I will also consider trading for a FA31 in good condition. Either way, buyer pays shipping and insurance. I will be happy to ship any way that you want as long as the package can be fully insured.
Ships worldwide minus mainland China and any other country that scams originate from at my discresion.
I have only 1 feedback from this forum but have 101 on the bay with 100% positive rating. My e-bay id is: russellh68

Trade Conditions Changed

I updated this listing stating that I will consider a trade for a good condition FA31 in black.
I also wanted to add that I have had the body completely tested by a competent local shop and all of the shutter speeds and meter check out 100% correct. The mirror bumper is not deteriorated and the light seals are in good shape as well.

Hi felix,

I guess, you would sell it for $834.95 as well, as this is Adorama's shop price for a brand new FA31?

If you are making me an offer, please do it via PM. If not, I will consider offers but have not lowered the price in the listing for a monetary transaction.

What am I "Trying" Here?

As I stated in the beginning of my listing, there is another thread in the film forum detailing where I got the camera. I am not trying to hide the camera's origin. Here is a link to my original thread: Thread on Film SLR Forum

Yeah, my LBA is stronger than my desire to keep and use this beauty. I would rather be using a FA31.
Plus the Z-1p is no slouch, no LX in terms of quality but it is a fantastic, capable tool.

Good Luck!

I'm tagging this and I hope you get a bidder who will cherish this Brilliant Camera.
Enjoy your 31mm if you get it.

PS: I think it was Karma that got you the camera, and contributing to the welfare of animals will always add BIG Karma Points.

Thanks for the info.
Your description contains links. According to Linking to Descriptions , it may be better to make the Dimitrov homepage non clickable. I once got an on-going sale cancelled by ebay stuff because of "violation" of their linking policy
