Two things:

Roy is a serious dude, I've bought from him before and have been happy with both the service and the product.
I have this lens and am surprised by how good it is, and not only that, but by the fact that Pentax could make it so small and light. I mean, it takes 49mm filters! It makes the perfect "affordable" portrait lens on film, and is still a great portrait lens on digital.

One of two M lenses I kept (M50/1.7 is the other); permanently carried in a small shoulder bag with my MESuper.

One of those surprising Pentax gems that pops up in a place you least expect it - doesn't get talked about much, but this is a great lens.

If I didn't already have one I'd already be out of the LBA challenge (well, not really).

And BTW, Roy is a great member and seller.

Yeah, I wonder if they just didn't make that many. Even though it's an M lens, I normally shoot it in Av because I just use it wide open. As far as I'm concerned, it's an aperture prime, that is, a lens of variable focal length but fixed aperture: f/4
