PM sent. I wonder why they have different models on Rachael's website yet she claims it to be compatible? I have a K10D and I'm hoping she's right.

I am a noobie here; what exactly is the difference between Pentax's focusing screens (like LL-80 or LF-80 or LL-60, all at list price $45) and Katz Eye ($100+) focusing screen? Are these Pentax "focusing screens" not actually focusing screens but just grids? Katz eye solution looks like the traditional film SLR focusing screen, Pentax screens are not the same?

Those Pentax screens you mentioned don't have focusing aids like a split-image or microprism.

I thought "Focusing screen" means it'll help focus... so those Pentax screens just have a grid or some static lines that don't really help with focus... false marketing with the name "Focusing Screen" huh?

The Katzeye is best for manual focus lenses, It really helps. Esp. for people with poor eyesight.

Innershell, I asked Rachael Katz that same question - her response was that the screens are the same - they have them listed separately for tracking purposes.

Not really false marketing. It's a screen that can be used to focus with, just like the groundglass on an old view camera. It's just that there are no focusing aids on the screen, like the Katzeye.
