This lens has a great reputation for sharpness and contrast. I don't think there's much more to say about it. Great build, great IQ, small, has an 'A' setting to allow shooting in all modes... it's a great 28mm!

I just purchased a faster Vivitar 28mm lens, so I'm letting this one go. Although I will miss that 'A' setting

The body of the lens shows some wear, with some of the markings having been rubbed off (common with Sigmas from this vintage). There are some minor marks on the front element which do not affect the pics in any way. The rear element is fine. Diaphragm blades are dry and snappy, and the aperture ring moves smoothly and clicks correctly.

I include both caps, and I think I have the hood for it. I need to look for it as I never used it (never found flaring to be an issue with this lens).

For those new to photography, this lens can be used on both digital and film SLRs, as the image circle covers 35mm film. Of course, it's multicoated.
