[SOLD] Pentax-K 50mm f/1.2 (Worlwide)

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Pentax-K 50mm f/1.2 (Worlwide)

Asking Price
$350

Item Description
I don't think this lens needs any presentation. It's the fastest lens Pentax ever made. The 'A' version will set you back well over $500, but if you're going to use this lens wide open, you can still shoot in Av.

The lens shows signs of use on the outside, but looks a lot better than what my pictures make it out to be. The aperture ring turns a clicks correctly, with clicks every 1/2 stops. Likewise the focus ring turns smoothly. The optics are near perfect. No marks, scratches or smudges anywhere on the elements, no fungus either. There is some minimal dust (to be expected in a lens this age), but otherwise the optics are practically as new.

If anybody in the US wants to take advantage of the Live.com cashack program, I'm more than happy to oblige (but I will list at a little higher price due to eBay fees). The price after cashback would be $282 (assuming 25% cashback)

My K10D is away getting fixed so I've been having to take product shots with my P&S. Pic quality is not as good as I'd like it to be but I think it shows the glass well enough.

Jose, that is really a big bargain for sure!

Your k10d is still being fixed? This is really taking a long time.

All the best with the sale and bump here!

I think it's a fair price given how perfect the optics are. If bought with Live.com cashback, it's a real bargain.

My K10D came back and was not correctly fixed. I am trying to get Pentax to take it back and fix it properly. I've been in limbo, with the camera in a box, for 1 week now. I can't tell you how angry I'm getting.

Thanks for the bump, though!

Sucks about the K10D. I hope it gets back soon. This lens with the cashback is a great deal. Miserere is an excellent seller for my experience, good gear and fast shipping.

Ha! Had I known you were interested I would have offered it to you

Vacations are overrated, anyway

So nobody wants some stellar, fast optics from Pentax? Let Bill Gates pay for 1/4 of the lens and take it home for $300.

Is this price too high...?

Nope, it is not. Maybe Bill Gates can be interested in paying the other dollars, too...

Tell ya my reasons to decline. Just bought a too expensive other lens on this forum.
Reason 2: US to Europe is high shipping cost and customs.
Reason 3: Your Dollar is getting waaaaaayyyyyy too strong these days.
Reason 4: I have a preference for autofocus glass. Except when it is called VivS1.

Thanks for the post, Syb. All those are perfectly valid reasons. I agree with #4, but would also add "Pentax-A" to your list

...dollar too strong... must resist... too far to reach. AAAGH!

In other words: The darn dollar is too strong compared to NOK, and the shipment over the Atlantic would cost me an additional 25% because of customs. If my neighbour had this lens and was selling it in NOK (at what would be a presumably lower price), it would be gone instantly. : (
(If I bought from you, all sad factors combined, it would cost something in the neighbourhood of a new DA70.)

(Consider this a noble bump.)

Hello,

This is really a bargain, usually this lens would sell at least 100$ more ... It's very temptating, but i'm saving for an FA-31 before the next february price raise ;-) ...

Thanks for the comments, KjetilH and Indianadinos.

For you foreign guys worried about customs, I'm happy to mark down the price if that helps you out. I really don't think you should be taxed on used equipment, especially if it was built in the previous millenium
