| Pentaxian Location: San Diego, California Posts: 441 | [SOLD] Pentax AF280T Flash With Off-Camera Cord THIS ITEM IS SOLD PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale Pentax AF280T Flash With Off-Camera Cord Asking Price $35 Item Description For sale -- Pentax AF280T hot shoe flash with off-camera cord & case. This was Pentax' top of the line hot shoe TTL flash from 1981 until the first zoom flash was introduced in 1987. This flash unit works perfectly and supports TTL flash for all cameras with this feature. Tilt and swivel head, guide number 28 (in meters, ISO 100), full auto function with built-in sensor, and various manual settings with the built-in output calculator. Supports "finder check" for camera models supporting this feature (e.g., LX, SF series). Accepts 4 AA batteries. This flash does NOT support "P-TTL," but it will work as a regular auto flash with all current Pentax DSLRs. I tested it today and the unit works perfectly. Cosmetically, it is somewhere between "BGN" and "EX-" as these terms are used by KEH. There are numerous handling marks, a few tiny scratches, and one scratch about 5mm on the front to the left of the green auto sensor on the front. These are clearly visible in the photos, which I over-exposed to show the condition. BONUS: I will include an off-camera, 3 wire coil cord that allows full operation of the flash (including TTL and finder check) up to about 5 feet away from the camera. The cord is in like-new condition. Cords like this typically sell for over $30, and to buy the Pentax coiled cord and the two adapters (one for the camera and one for the flash shoe) costs about $100. I will also include a case: not the original case but a Pentax S80-160 lens case that holds the flash and the cord quite nicely. The price for the complete package is $35. I will charge $5 shipping to anywhere in the U.S. by U.S.P.S. Priority Mail. Sorry, but due to the modest value of this item I cannot ship outside the U.S. I have owned this flash for 18 years and it has seen very little use as I usually rely on available light. I haven't used it at all for at least two years and would like to sell it to someone who can make good use of it. The equipment will be carefully packed for shipping.
