[SOLD] Pentax MZ-S Film Body & FA* star 24mm

I have these amazing Pentax products that I really just don't use much. I tried, and love using them, but then they just end up in the cupboard again. Time to move them on to someone who will give them the time they deserve. I'm willing to trade either item for a DA 12-24 lens or an FA 77mm limited lens. Price includes shipping to North America but will quote worldwide.

1. MZ-S film body with quartz date back.

Truly excellent condition. No discernible marks anywhere on the body. Full working condition and I've just put a new set of lithium batteries in it. Body only, no box, manual etc as that is how I got it.

Asking USD$500

2. FA* 24mm lens.

This hard to come by lens is in good condition. The glass is completely scratch free. There is a small amount of dust inside, which doesn't affect performance. The body has some marks and wear on the paint (What FA silver lens doesn't) from normal use, but there is no scratches, gouges, dents etc. Focus shift works great and is mechanically excellent. Includes soft case, original caps and hood.

Asking USD$500

I will also sell both together for $950 if someone is interested.

I have sold a number of items here with perfect feedback and my my ebay account (grimlock218) is also perfect.

Had I not just purchased the FA*24, I would certainly take it off your hands - looks to be in great condition too. So just a friendly bump for a great lens and potent film combo.

Free bump.

I lusted after the MZ-S back in my film days.

I find my FA*24 plenty sharp, with less PF and faster AF & less hunting in low light than my DA*16-50, not to mention that it's measurably smaller & so avoids the lens/hood shadow issues of the pop-up flash of the DA*. There's really no substitute for this lens for the combo of width & speed in AF. So it absolutely has a place in a digital lens lineup... though like several reviewers of this lens in the forum's database, I wish I could be maxing out its capacity as a 24mm full frame. I'm sure it would really excel there (it's FoV on FF would completely devastate the DA*16-50 at 16).

The combo of that film body and that lens has huge potential.
