Item Description
Brand new in box Pentax Remote Control F (includes factory installed battery). Enables infrared wireless shutter release, which is good for self portraits, timed exposures, or minimizing vibration caused by manual shutter depression. Certain cameras also have a built in 3 second delay which works with the remote.

Works on all Pentax DSLR cameras including the K-7, and any Optio camera that accepts an infrared remote signal. The remote also fits inside the Pentax D-BG2 battery grip for convenient storage and use.

Will these infrared wireless remotes work with an older camera? I have a ZX-50 as well as a few digitals. I know if will work with the digitals but it would be nice if I could get one that will work with all my cameras

Your ZX-50 is not specifically mentioned in the compatibility list that Pentax provides on its website.

According to your camera manual on page 83, it appears the only accessory for shutter release is the "Cable Switch F", which appears to be a physical connection, not wireless IR.

But for only $10, it might be worth a try, and you know it will work with your digitals!

I got mine - thanks for the fast shipping, Tom. New and in perfect condition as advertised. I found out the battery is pretty common and can be replaced pretty easily.
