Optically the same as the FA*300/4.5 but the F* version comes with a tripod mount. This example is optically and mechanically sound -- glass is excellent; fungus free, aperture is snappy and oil free. Cosmetically, there are a number of marks in the white paint but there are no dents and no signs of being dropped. Filter threads are fine.
