[SOLD] Rare SMC M 150mm 3.5

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Rare SMC M 150mm 3.5

Asking Price
140

Item Description
Nice example of a rare M-series lens: the 150mm f3.5.

Remarkably light in weight for a lens of it's focal length, the M renders in the classic SMC color and contrast. A nice lens for street photography or portrait work.

This sample is very clean, optics are clean and no internal dust (photos show a little external dust) Blades are oil free and snappy, focus ring smooth and tight. The pull out hood has one small dent (see photo) but does not affect operation and hood function at all.

Comes with a Pentax front cap and a generic rear cap.

germar

A very interesting lens, but as I have the 135mm F3.5 and 200mm F4 I don't really need a 150mm

A great lens, I love mine and find it usable without risks even wide open. Someone should get this, it's amazingly small and reliable. I'd rather have a f3,5 that I can trust instead of a f2,8 not usable before f4.

Nice purple effect on the front element

Thanks on the nice comments on the lighting. That's a Saturn Ring light, and the wonderful Pentax SMC coatings this lens has creates the lovely effect.

If you like that, you should see what the coatings will do for your shots when you use this lens! It has that killer "M" series color rendering, nice bokeh, and just feels really good in your hand. Nice for shooting your young son or daughter from a safe distance for real candids, or for anything you need a little reach but don't want a bazooka hanging off the front of your camera. It's a really nice street shooting lens.
