[SOLD] K20D w/Extended warranty

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
K20D w/Extended warranty

Asking Price
600.00 firm [SOLD]

Item Description
K20D with 3761 shutter actuations. Purchased in June of 2009. It is still under warranty and has the Pentax Three Year extended warranty.

This camera has had LCD protectors on since day one. Included is the box, all cables, caps, papers, manual, accessories, and original receipt that came with the camera. I have a K10D and therefore never used ANY of the accessories for the k20D other than the battery. I used the K10D's strap and battery charger and opened none of the accessories for this camera. They are all virtually new.

This camera was always stored in a camera bag, and treated very gently. It spent most of its time out of the bag on a tripod. There are virtually no cosmetic blemishes that I can see on this camera.

Thanks for looking. Please see my feedback as a seller, and feel free to ask questions. Low balls will be politely declined. Thanks.

Like any other company... if it's never been sent in and you have access to the original sales receipt, they can't prove it wasn't a gift. My Sigma repair was like this and I've heard of similar stories w/r/t Pentax warranty service.

Interestingly, the 3 Year Extended Warranty came with a letter that stated:

"Although indicated on the extended warranty card, it is no longer a requirment to register the PENTAX K20D Extended Warranty; as this process has been discontinued...

If your camera was received as a gift, simply indicate the date received and include a copy of the extended warranty card with your repair."

Clearly Pentax forsees the whole gift situation and that it will mean that people won't necessarily have the original sales receipts. I am not sure how this can work, but for my part I intend to send the original sales receipt with the camera.

I bought a K20D a few months ago with a 2-year Pentax warranty. I called them to register the warranty and they told me that it was not necessary. They would need was the original purchase date , serial number of the camera and the extended warranty number (if there was a problem after the initial one year warranty had expired).
