Just to clarify - this sale is reliant on all 3 being sold - then I'll put the order in for 4 of these Metz flashes from Adorama.
I'm keeping one for myself. It's a good way for all four of us to save on shipping, which is very high for one flash, but OK when ordering several.

So any Aussies keen?

I am keen on this one. But why not the Metz 58?

Edit: I am not too knowledgeable with flashes....can this Metz 48 work wireless with the K-7 and 360?

I thought the US$170 difference between the two is too much to pay, since the 48 is fine for my needs. Would you prefer the Metz 58?

This guide is helpful: Pentax P-TTL Flash Comparison: The Definitive Guide

It says yes, it can works a s an off-camera wireless slave, but not as the on-camera controller for other slaves.

I am not a big flash user but I definitely need a tilt/swivel flash from time to time. I think the 48 would be okay for my needs. I just searched the forum and some forumers say this flash cannot be operated in auto mode....I am not sure what this mean....need to research more. Any ideas?

Auto mode is different to the normal PTTL mode. Auto mode means the flash does the metering, rather than relying on the camera metering. It is nice to have as alternative to PTTL, but not an essential.

No payment until I have finalised the order - I'll let you know.

Now we need 2 more Aussies to jump on board - anyone else keen?

Charges will be exact cost - this is not a profit making sale here - just an attempt to share shipping charge with other Aussies.

I will split the exact order cost from Adorama 4 ways, then anyone outside of Sydney pays for shipping of their choice to their destination on top of that.

This is best suited to those in Sydney, but still would be cheaper than ordering directly for other Aussies.

BUT unless there are some others interested in getting the Metz 48 (and based on the luke-warm response so far, it's looking unlikely), this deal won't happen.

Anyone else keen?

At $260 plus internal postage, you can count me in.

Thanks for the organisation.

I think that's clear yes ?

It's a pretty good deal, I might have been in too, but my free cash is low right now.
Next time maybe

I have decided to risk it and go ahead with the order - so hopefully we can find another buyer. Please?

I can now confirm that final cost is AU$250 (plus actual postage charge from Sydney to wherever you live - you can choose postage method with Australia Post, but I would say registered is best). Pick up from Sydney obviously incurs no postage charge.

Paypal is available, but obviously you'll need to pay the fees - so bank deposit or cash is better.

CONFIRMED:
1. Me
2. Raider
3. RobA_Oz
4. ?
