I owned a copy of this lens at one time - I consider it the most overlooked M lens - a GREAT, sharp, contrasty medium zoom. Highly recommended!

I always say, "Better to have had it and sold it than never to have had it at all."

My wife always says, "Use em or lose 'em!"

G.T.Addison - . . . by keeping the range of zoom low Pentax made a very useful, highly portable, fine quality lens . . .

George Stanley - . . . Really, Really Excellent! . . .the designers were able to achieve really superb optical performance.

Shel Belinkoff - My least favorite lens. . . It's too "soft" for my taste, . . . and too big and bulky . . .

Dave Weiss -. . . it never has disapointed me. It always renders sharp and contrasty prints.

FstopTraveler - . . . superlative . . .

Sas Gabor - It's one of my favorite optics on my LX. I found the results sharp an contrasty even wide open.

Forget about the third review, no way this lens is "big and bulky", I have a copy and it's small and stealthy!

Buy this lens!

I have one. IQ-wise, it is comparable to DA* 50-135mm. It is better than A 35-105 F3.5 and has less PF than it, for sure. Keep in mind A 35-105 F3.5 is normally sold for $100+.
