PentaxForums.com Monthly Photo Contest Poll: April, 2008
Here is this month's collection of Complimentary Color photos! You may vote for up to 3 photos that you think are the best! Results will not the viewable until the poll is closed on May 20th.
You must be logged in to vote! Good luck to all participants!
Not only is this a great series of shots but I'm really impressed with the creativity of the group as a whole. There are some very well taken shots here and some real inspiration.
Some truly brilliant shots this month. Congratulations to all entrants.
Its a pity one poster chooses to point out what they see as a weakness in one of the shots.
It is anonymous voting, sad to too see negative influence of voting on somebody's picture, (no it is definitely not mine!)
Whilst the comment may be valid, could we not save them till after voting results are published.
Again, well done all entrants

I just recently joined Pentax Forums, and find it a great source of interesting and informative comments. And the photos in the monthly contests are great. I am disappointed though, because my antiquated modem connection cannot access all of the contest entries in anything close to a timely manner.
In the March voting thread, for example, it took two hours and 40 minutes to bring up no more than half of the 70-plus images! Could the images in the voting thread be made smaller to accommodate viewers like myself? With an option of bringing up a larger version by clicking each image? (There must be others who still use a modem!) Thanks for your consideration. --Tom
I do my best to keep image dimensions and filesizes at a minimum- nearly all the images in this contest are less than 500Kb, and in fact, some of the smallest are only 80Kb.
If users were to post smaller versions, your download time would be cut by half at most, and that would still be an hour and 20 minutes! If you're planning on browsing multimedia web content, I'd strongly recommend upgrading to broadband, or at least DSL, unless it isn't offered in your area.
On a separate note, if you'd like to speed up overall forum loading times, select the Simple Skin and make sure you've disabled signatures and avatars from being shown forum-wide via your User CP options.
