Jason, I think you can apply whatever criteria you like. I tend to pick what I think are the best photos that reasonably fit the theme. Your method may vary.

I think that's the right way to approach it. These aren't "My best shot" contests. They're supposed to illustrate a theme.

In Toronto we have only two seasons -

I used to live in the northern Adirondaks, there the saying was "We have two seasons, Winter, and the Fourth of July"
