[CLOSED] M42 To K Mount Adaptor

One that allows infinity focus. Pentax or maybe Roxen? Any help for an M42 newbie?

Or even... Anyone got a good, fast, wide-angle M42 lens attached to an adapter?

Not sure if they'll ship to Ireland, but Henry's here in Canada has them for $25 which is a pretty good price. I just got one for my Takumar 28mm f3.5 and 200mm f4, and it focuses to infinity.
PENTAX SP-K ADAPTER

I hear that if you're careful with the Bower adapters (the metal clip/spring can be brittle) they work just fine too and focus to infinty. Plenty of them for a good price on the bay of e.

I have one of the Roxen adapters from eBay. Works find to infinity, but you do have to play with it a bit to get it off the camera sometimes. The first time I used it I thought it was stuck on the camera. The trick for me was to bend the little metal retaining strip a bit and playing with the wrench a few times to get a handle on removal. From what I read the genuine Pentax adapters don't have this issue.

I have one of the Roxen adapters also - works great, allows infinity focus, but as mentioned by Tybeck it's a PITA to get off the camera. I took a permanent marker and made a mark on the front edge of it - lined up with the red dot (you can't see the dot when the adapter is installed). Much easier to get off when the dots are lined up.

Coincidentally I just found that and wondered if it was the official Pentax jobber.

Yeha, it's the official one, works great and easy to install/remove.

Well, I've tried several stores that will not ship to EU, missed a UK item due to an out of date listing and emailed Henry's about shipping costs without reply. So... I am still without an adapter, and am only wanting an official Pentax make. I might yet have to resort to spending 30 pounds sterling, but that seems silly.

Anyone got one they are not using?
