16-50 f:2.8 DA* Pentax

Hi,

As said in the title, I'm looking for the Pentax 16-50. If you have one to sell, please make a reasonable offre. The lens is easy to find new (with warranty and shipping) for 669.- USD. I'm looking for a used one. Any cosmetical condition, as long as it's working fine!

Paypal payment would be best. Offers from the US and Canada welcome.

Just send me a PM.

Thanks!

Pascal

Good copies of this lens must be rarer than gold, and even rarer on used market.

What means good copy? Are there big differences from one to another? Does this mean Pentax has a poor quality check on its pro-lenses?

This lens has some focus problems right out of the box. There's a 50/50 chance you will get something that focuses correctly. Buyer beware.

I wouldn't buy this lens unless it has been tested in the store and then the images reviewed on a laptop in the store itself. It can be that bad.

Ok, thank you for the information. I have tried it, but didn't know there were such differences from one copy to another.

iPascal, some lenses would have a back-focus or front-focus problem (focuses a few inches too far or too short from the actual target). Just google up with these keywords and you should find more info.
