[CLOSED] k-mount 28mm prime lens

Well you live you learn.. the Kiron 28mm f/2 i got for $20 locally was a dud (aperture blades stuck).

I'm on the lookout now for a new 28mm prime lens for my Super Program i'm getting.

Will take M or A lenses

In Ottawa, Canada

Hey, I have an A-mode Sigma 28mm f/2.8 "Mini-Wide II" manual focus lens which I'd be willing to let go. I really like the lens, but never carry with me, as I also have a takumar 28 which is superb, and a Sigma 24/2.8 which I also love. I have some example shots up here.

I'd be willing to sell the lens for $60 plus whatever shipping to your location, but I have to leave town for a couple weeks at about six tomorrow morning, so I wouldn't be able to sell it to you for a couple of weeks. As far as I remember, the lens elements are flawless, and although the focus ring has a small amount of play, it doesn't seem to affect image quality or focusing. The aperture blades are dry and snappy, and everything was in great working order last time I shot with it a couple months ago.

I also have this lenses little brother the Sigma 24mm f/2.8 Super-Wide, and it stays on the camera most of the time... great lenses. (If you'd like to see examples with the 24mm, look here, but I don't know why I'm talking about it 'cause it's not for sale - they do share image characteristics though).

If you're interested, I'll give you a more in depth description and pics of the lens in a couple weeks.

Doesn't take much to open the lens up and clean the blades. Small primes are dead easy and the job can get quite routine if you organise yourself. There are many resources on the net that can fill you in on the background. Even if you buy the others youare looking for you will need to clean this one up before you can sell it - at $20 it makes a good practice example.
