G'day from Adelaide, South Australia

Although far from new in years I have very recently aquired my first DSLR a istDL.
Therein lies my problem, I have, for many years used a Pentax SLR and confidently expected to be able to use my 3 lenses on the istDL. My 2 manual lenses were no problem to fit, but when I atempted to fit my Koboron 28-70 (which is a P/k-A-P/K fitting, my only automatic lens) there was no way it is going to fit the DSLR. It seems to have a large piece on the back of the lens which catches on the inside of the camera. Has anyone any idea or experience with this problem, please. I have some somewhat inferior photographs of this fitting but a) I don't know how to post them and b) Am reluctant to reveal Canons inferior product. HELP.

Gday mate,

A quick google for me revealed a picture of the bit on the lens sticking out and people discussing it interfering. But noone offered a solution that I could see.

Would require some sort of dismantling or grinding no doubt.
