Hello,

My name is Harvey and and I live on the desert near Palm Springs, CA. I've just recently purchased a Pentax K200 and also an old, nearly mint Pentax K1000. The K200 had a very nice write-up in one of the Apple/Mac magazines and was rated "awesome". I like the fact that the camera requires only four "AA" batteries. Also, it seems to take pretty good photos. Thought I might try my hand at shooting some film with the K1000 which I haven't used yet. I'm also having lots of fun playing around with old, manual focus lenses on the K200, e.g., Takumar 1:2.8/28mm and an old Pentax -M 1.7/50mm.

I've read several of the threads presented on this forum and have learned much from them. I'm fairly new to photography and still have lots more to learn.

Welcome. The M50/1.7 is a great little lense. Have fun with your new toys and show us some of your photos.
