Nice multiple meaning subject to suck everyone in :-) I've been lurking for a while and finally registered. Hello all.

I've had a sweet spot for Pentax. I used my mom's k1000 back in the day (late 70's, early 80's). Hoping to make the plunge and get a Pentax DSLR one of these months (maybe upon a price reduction and/or rebate). I've stayed away until "affordable" DSLRs started to approach film quality. I'll probably avoid top of the line (so I'm not chasing the Jones or feeling remorse when the next greatest comes out), but I do tend to be quite critical of image quality. Maybe I'll pick up a k200d or wait until something comes out to replace the k20d.

The username? Oh, I thought it would be funny to have a studio called 'Packsand Studios' where we offer no particular guarantee and in fact state that if the customer is in anyway dissatisfied with our work, they are kindly instructed to refer to our studio name:-)
