Greetings from a new Pentax Fan

Hi all,

I just joined the great Pentax family with the purchase of a K20D and the famous FA 50mm 1.4. Even if I didn't own a DSLR myself before that, I shot a lot with various Nikon and Canon cameras ... a big thx to my friends on this occasion
After reading some posts in this forum I decided to give Pentax a try..... well what can I say : I really saw the light...and that's rather a good point in photography

Living right on the border between France and Germany, I certainly have enough material for beautiful pictures.

This really is a very good forum for Pentax discussion and photography in general. Its one of the reasons I went Pentax as well - the knowledge and open discussion is great. It also seems fairly global in view (some of the other forums out there seem more parochial)

The other is that Pentax have stuck with the same mount so there is great legacy glass which effectively give them as big a range of glass as Canikon - a sore point for me after Canon dumped the FD mount years ago (never forgave them for that - they rendered my collection of glass redundant overnight!)

Look forward to seeing some great images - near Alsace?

you're right : this is one of the most open-minded forums on photography I know. As for the knowledge, it is one of the reasons that convinced me buying Pentax !
