Posts: 4 | G'day from West OZ Just joined the forums as a result of trying very hard to find info about the 70-200 2.8 Sigma when used with a 2x TC I was trying to buy a 150 -500 Sigma but was talked into getting the 70-200 and using a 2xTC.. LOL FAIL at least it seems that way  Anyway HI,  |

| Site Supporter | G'day mate. Welcome to the forums. Hope this doesn't sound defeatist, but I believe you were misinformed about using the 70-200 with a TC. As I mentioned in the other post you wrote on about it, there is no dedicated TC for the 70-200, and the other SDM TCs for Pentax aren't all that well matched for the 70-200's HSM. I've tried the Tamron 1.4x TC on the Sigma and it hunts to the point that focus does not lock at focal lengths beyond about 180mm (see here: Sigma 70-200 HSM personal IQ test as compared with here: Request for images from Tamron 70-200 at f/2.8) |
