New here

Hi,

I am new to his forum and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Tom and I have been involved with photography since I got my first camera (Pentax K1000) back in 1979. I have only used that camera for “snap shots”, nothing professional. Along the way, I managed to accumulate an additional 7 lenses. It was a good camera for its time (and still is).
About two years ago, I decided to go digital, so I purchased a K100D Super. I already had the additional lenses, so buying another Pentax was a no-brainer. I have not used this camera very much, but now I would like to learn how to get the most out of this great camera!! My interests are in nature photography and landscapes.

Thanks for reading,

Welcome Tom.
You'll enjoy the transition.
Experiment with your camera, and learn both by reading and experience.
Keep practicing, and post your results once in a while.

High and welcome. You are just like me; I had a K1000, then a ZX60 with a few lenses. I also had the "no brainer" attitide when I purchased my first Pentax DSLR.

Dive in. Explore the forum and ask any questions as we are here to help!

Welcome Tom! I stated with the K1000 myself and that thing is bullet proof. There are many members on the forum that have mede the switch from flim to digital some as recently as yesterday! I'm sure you will find a wealth of information here and if you have a question just start a thread and some will answer.
