Smile Hi all

Yet another Australian Qld.
I,m retired and just starting out with my first DSLR after I bought a Panasonic DCM TS3 got some good shots and realized a better camera gets better photos. Next step a real camera and a much longer learning curve.
What's this view finder people keep talking about?

G'day there.
Welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy your time here.
Which dSLR did you get?
There are lots of Brisbanites around here - you're in good company.
Look forward to seeing you online.

Thanks for the welcome
I am expecting a Nikon D40X loaner to make sure I can handle a DSLR.
My goal is a K-x , K200d or K10/20X , the idea of playing with some of the older M lens has some appeal.
Budget set by Minister of Finance.
Cheers

Given your close relationship with the Minister, you may well be able to negotiate a good grant for the photography project.
All the best.
