Hello from "sunny Washington state"...not!

Hello all. I've been lurking around for a few days now and finally decided to join this wonderful forum. I'm a noobie in photography and in the short period that I've learned about this site, I have gained tons of knowledge to get me started in this hobby.

Welcome to the forum, and photography!
You'll be pleased learning about the vocation here with lots of Pentax-related issues addressed in the Beginners Q&A subforum, and general photography articles posted in the Articles section.

What gear do you have at present?

I acquired a K200D and I have a few old SMC lenses from my film days, an SMC A 1.7, SMC M135mm F3.5 and a SMC 100 mm F2.8

All of those lenses would do just fine on your K200D. The 50mm lens will give you a lot of creative opportunities.

Enjoy learning and shooting!
