Another Aussie

G'day all, thought I'd come across from that 'other' Pentax forum too. After a short line of Canon P&S's, I got a *istDL/Sigma 18-125 kit in January this year, and since then I've taken over 12,000 shots. I bought an AF-540FGZ flash not long ago, and I'm looking at upgrading to the K10D when funds allow. (I want to get my hands on an FA50/1.4 first though.)

I'm heading off on a trip to Adelaide via the Great Ocean Road tomorrow and I'll be sure to post some photos when I get back in a week or so.

Richard

Good on you Richard. The migration from DPR is becoming a diaspora.

It was snowing not all that far from here about two weeks ago, and one week ago we were in full on bushfire season mode! Crazy weather down here.

After a hectic couple of weeks at work in the leadup to Christmas, I've finally had time to go through the photos I took and start putting them on my blog. First photos are at bendigo3550.day 1: ballarat , more to come over the next week or so.

Welcome! You've got some really nice shots on your site. I like the first one with the people reflected off the grill. How do you find your Sigma lens?

Thanks Alvin. The Sigma isn't bad as a 'cheap' lens. I like the versatility as a wide angle/telephoto/almost macro. Sharpness isn't bad, I'd love to see how it performs with SR.
