October 2010 Runner-Up: River in full flow
Contest Number: 50 Contest Theme: Water Lens: Promaster 28-210mm F3.5 Camera: Pentax K100D Shutter Speed: 4s Aperture: F22

Picture taken at Golithia Falls, Cornwall, UK.

We'd had a lot of rain.
Roads were flooded, grey sky - water everywhere.
It was dusk and what light there was was fading fast.
There was not a breath of wind
Not a sound
Just the river in full flow.

Mystical and silky smooth, contrasting well with the rough green foliage surrounding.
Well done.

congrat.
especially, i dont know the promaster 28-210, but
first impression for me thinking about zoom ratio is not good.
so it remembers view&technic is more important then equipment.
thanks.

Great image...nice to see the Promaster lens exceed expectations!

Note to diffraction phobes out there--this shot and the winning water shot were both captured at f22. A little diffraction is well worth it for the depth of field!
