No picnic now!

Very nice framing Peter. It is just like Florida , trees , a picnic table and lots of water (albiet in a more solid state!). Was it a bit overcast ? I think the picnic table was the point of focus ? I really like the fact there are not tracks anywhere. Well cone.

No picnic now!

I like the framing you have done with the tree as well, but I think there is too much wasted space at the bottom of this one. Move the bench down in the frame, lets get a little more tree, or crop it tighter. The wasted space here, especially since it is just white, kind of distracts and washes out the picture.

No picnic now!

Nice shot Peter. I like the composition of this shot. For me, the snow in the foreground adds to the lonely, undisturbed, fresh snow feel. The only thing I would like to see is a bit more contrast.

No picnic now!

I just looked at the full-sized version, and the constrast looks much better, so ignore my comment regarding contrast above. I like the shot!

No picnic now!

Thanks Dave, Travis and Scott for your thoughts. I was trying to get the isolated lonely look to this shot and felt the open space worked better. I did crop it before posting and decided to return to the original version. As Dave said I felt it worked because there are no footprints in the snow. I do think Scott is right though and the shot does need a touch more contrast to give it a bit more kick. More work to do. Also I want to thank Travis for suggesting the thread. Great idea. I've learned a lot with this one.
