egret alighting_flight |
| Description |
after dropping some folks at the airport Monday, i stopped at a local pier to maybe capture some pelicans, as i was walking to the car this egret was sitting atop a light pole, with no chance to set camera i aimed did a quick focus and shot off a couple of frames.....
the pre-pp'g image was 2.45 stops under as i had shutter set at 2000 for previous shots. so 1/2000 @ f/5.6 ...190 mm.....iso 400 sigma 28-300 dg. i tried eliminating noise with adobes on board noise stuff....no good, noise ninja....no good.....alien skin image dr......no good so, i dup'd the layer underneat and ran the median filter reducing the opacity of the top layer some (?) don't recall how much. It created this softened effect, rounded the corners of the image, and created those small arcs where the pole extensions touch the edge of the picture frame....kinda weird, but i liked the effect, and as i wanted to keep the image for another project, i accepted the noise limitations. |
