I'm traveling to my ancestral home this weekend -- Albuquerque, New Mexico. "Land of Enchantment" (or so it says on the license plate). This is the view of the city taken from high on the West Mesa, towards the city and its protective Sandia mountains to the east. "Sandia" means watermelon in Spanish -- given to the mountains for their color at sunset (but not fully captured here I am sad to say). |
