Tracks at Springtime |

I decided my third image to contribute to World Pentax Day had to be an image that showed what my area was like on this day. It was overcast for the morning hours I shot in. At high noon when I pulled back into my driveway after my son's game, the sun came out. The clouds rolled in again in the afternoon, but they were nice white clouds, not dark overcast. About 4:30 pm I set out for this shot. This is 1 mile from my home on the railroad tracks. The daisies don't bloom like this every year, but the years we get good rainfall they line the tracks. At first I struggled with getting only the flowers and railroad tracks in the image. I had three lenses with me and none were giving me what I had in mind. I finally decided to include the highway on the left and the street on the right with the Pentax 10-17. Next was to belly down to the railroad tracks and line them up where I wanted them. All the while a bit nervous. The Coaster travels this rail and it has sneaked up on me before, it is pretty quiet and fast. |
