Into The West |
| Description |
The flight of the Irish into the west, looking for a better life in America, is well-documented. Facing the sunset at Castle Point I was blessed by the appearance of an airliner tracing this same route. Despite recent ties to Europe, Ireland still looks to the west for inspiration.
Taken about an hour later than my previous submission. I could not choose between the two, since I love the symbolism of this shot and the smoothed water effect of combining exposures at a slower shutter speed. But I like the sharpness of the waters and light in the first. Oh well, you decide!
Taken at 16mm with the Pentax 16-45mm. ISO 200. Three exposures centered around f/13 1/30s. |

Into The West
I love the blue tint (the whitewater gives it away). What a splendid view!
