Wild Guinea Fowl |
| Description |
These Guinea Fowl are just impossible to capture with my type of lens and I had to lie like dead on the ground with camo pants and shirt for 1 hour -camera at the ready
It was dusk when this one was inquisitive enough to come close enough - fill flash was used - the fowl almost had a heart attack - haha
Iso was on auto and it chose 320 F5.6 1/10" & MultiSegment metering |

Wild Guinea Fowl
Hey Dylan,
Not to try and rain on your parade, but that doesn't look at all like a 'guinea fowl', it looks like a high quality (and fine table fare) grouse!
All the Guinea Fowl I've ever seen are wonderfully colored in a blue tint, bald heads (like vultures/turkeys, with even a bit of neck skin hanging), and their bodies are really dark blue/black with white spots.
Were you using a tripod?
Thanks and great pic!
Cheers,
Neandertal
