Title American Goldfinch
Description This is one of a series of shots of the American Goldfinch I took in August 2008. It took me about six weeks of stalking, familiarizing myself with their habits and habitat to get these shots. They are very skittish and seldom give you more than a moment to work with them. They are all males and the females, even more skittish, have eluded me so far. As you can see they get themselves into the oddest angles to eat.
