SMC 300 F4.0 tripod mount
This is exactly the system I want to build. Could you message me about things I should be warned about? Or tricks to using this? What kind of tripod should I buy? (Yes, I even need a new tripod for all-around use) Do you even reccomend this system for nature photography?

SMC 300 F4.0 tripod mount
Sorry but I did not see this for some time.
With respect to the tripod, this is on a Monfretto 486 ball head. Tripod is an old vivitar professional tripod, I bought used in 1981.
