Young Cooper's Hawk
Great shot!
I like the composition--the forked branch on the right keeps the bird, which is nearly centered, from looking static and posed. The shadows suggest that this was shot near sunrise or sunset. The photo is quite sharp and the exposure is spot-on.
Quite impressive.

Thanks, Sig! Yes: morning from my back (well, "side", really) porch here in Baltimore. I caught some better poses but there were distracting shadows on the bird in those shots (darnit!)
