Pentax has released an upgrade to the Digital Camera Utility 4, the new release is designated 4.35.
Data for the following two lenses has been added to the utility's database. The utility will now correctly identify these lenses based on the EXIF information, and we assume that correction of distortion and lateral chromatic aberration is now also available for these lenses:
The new release also includes an updated library for image tone processing.
The upgrade is available from the Japanese web site here.

FYI i just installed this from an SDcard with the volume name "S-SW90" and it works w/o the CD.
Tried using this for some days, but the workflow is just too bad compared to Apple Aperture. Sorry Pentax, make cameras, not software... If you want to ship software with your cameras, make a bundle deal with Adobe or something (as lots of others are doing).
I Don't know if anyone else has experienced the same problem, but the Japanese site version will not install keeps crashing. However the US site version installs OK.
I used the free Pentax utility for a while and felt that it is actually a lot more powerful than it appears. You can do a lot of post-processing using it. However the UX is not that great, miles away compare to professional software such as Lightroom, which on the other hand is not free though.
I like it. Anyway, ever tried to find a software update for your camera on the canon or nikon websites??? At least pentax don't require you to log in, join a club or generally hide the updates in a forgotten corner of their website.
@Rainwilds: Hahaha I was going to post the same thing.
Who uses this program anyway? I certainly don't. C'mon Pentax give us some information about upcoming releases! Please!
