Facebook app won't accept my image as it says it has to be jpeg format. It already is! ...and well below the 5MB limit. #confusedmuch
I was quite excited until I saw that I would have to post my image on Facebook. I'll pass, thank you!
Forget it. Sounded like fun until I saw the the whole smear had to go through Facebook. I'll skip it.
Denver is where Pentax's US headquarters lie.
Perhaps the below is why Denver was chosen...

I can't wait until facebook finally implodes and we don't have to bow down to them to get info or participate in events involving this forum.
Great job, getting Pentax to cooperate/co-sponsor the event! Nice to see the company acknowledge PF.
Did I read well on the UK banner that you are to post best picture of 2012? Does it mean that it actually doesn't apply to the Pentax World Weekend pictures? Anyone confirm, please?
Great observation Trapa65

Great oppertunity, shame I'm not old enough, I turn 16 in around a month.
A company that takes in over 150 billion (Yen); but has an advertising budget not much larger than a garage sale. Please Pentax; show the world what a joke the company is by publishing the exact promotion and advertising budget.
The last time I saw something this bad is when a company was giving out free rolls of twelve exposure film.
Facebook? Why do people think I want to sign up to facebook
Pity, I might have liked to try in this competition but I'm not going to sign up to Facebook. Sorry Pentax and Pentaxforums but you have lost me on this one.
The URL "pentaxium (dot) com" still points to the PentaxForums page for World Pentax Day, as a handy shortcut.
In a country of 350,000,000 people, they will be setting up one tent at a zoo? Quite the marketing blitz! This should reach 10's of people.
Hopefully shooting at London Fashion Week with Park cameras on Sunday. Great comp will have to try and decide on a favourite image!
Hmm, taking my Explorers on camp Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully a good photo opportunity; would like to get my mits on that lol even though I am head of heals with my K-30
Hey this sounds great.
So cool ! I wish I could be in Denver. But I'm stuck in Atlanta that day.
Thanks Adam
The UK K-5 II giveaway is, but World Pentax Day/Weekend is of course open to everyone.
Is this competition for only UK members?
